Melbourne 1            Melbourne 2

Hundreds of artists and craftspeople present their wares at the St. Kilda Street markets

each Sunday.

Luna Park is St. Kilda's hideous centerpiece.  I like the suburb, except for this.

An graffitied advertisement at St. Kilda's Palais Theatre.

Melbourne City as seen from the St. Kilda pier.  Kite surfing is a very popular

activity on West Australian beaches.

A man works on his boat at the St. Kilda Marina.

Back in The City, hotel pubs such as the Prince Alfred seem to be the most frequent

and popular drinking establishments.

Melbourne University is not the only place in Melbourne to find grand architecture.

St Patrick's church in Fitzroy is one of the fanciest I saw.

Just one of many large public parks in Melbourne, the Fitzroy Gardens help to make

break up the stressful urban setting and create small patches for wildlife observation

within the city limits.

Much like other tree pests in other parts of the world (i.e.: Emerald Ash-borer in the USA),

this little critter seemed to be causing much harm to many trees in Fitzroy Garden, by

burrowing into their bark.

I flew with the new Tiger Air budget airline back from Melbourne.  This was their private

terminal.  No restaurants, no drinks, no entertainment at all. But hey, they're cheap.

Tiger Airways flight 934 to Perth, now boarding...
