Day 3: An awesome drive along the coast to Westport. The Sky Road was particularly beautiful, as you might imagine... as was Chonamara state park. Westport was a pretty small town, but I think it gave us a little better look at a real local scene... the best example of which was that evening, singing songs in the pub with a couple of old Irishmen by the fireplace... very cool... and we finally figured out what that funny fragrance was that we had been smelling on and off for the whole trip. It was not our clutch burning, as we had thought before, but the peat-moss that everyone burns in their fireplaces... whew, what a relief!
